EXAIR (Compressed Air Australia) has released a two-way drum pump which can clean up small liquid spills rapidly.
According to the company, the Mini Reversible Drum Vac System can vacuum 20L of liquid in less than ten seconds. The drum can be emptied with a turn of a knob, eliminating the need for dumping.
The manufacturer recommends the system for vacuuming coolant, hydraulic oils, spills, sludge, tramp oil and waste water. The liquid can then be pumped back out for disposal, storage, or reclamation.
The system uses a stainless steel two-way pump that can be used with most non-flammable liquids. It is powered by compressed air and has no moving parts. An automatic safety shut-off valve prevents the drum from overfilling.
