GO DISTRIBUTION says tiny leaks in refrigeration and air conditioning systems are costing Australian businesses big money.

The problem, according to GO Distribution, is exacerbated by the rising summer temperatures, which put increasing loads on cooling systems.

The reduced efficiencies due to microscopic leaks in evaporators, condensers and pipelines increase the amount of energy used by cooling systems, as compressors work harder to try and maintain temperatures.

GO Distribution says microscopic leaks can be sized at up to 300 microns, and are undetectable to the eye and by conventional leak detection methods.

Undetectable to the eye and by conventional leak detection methods, these irritating leaks of up to 300 microns bleed money through energy wastage as compressors work harder to try and maintain temperatures, with decreased refrigerant charges.

The tiny leaks also have an environmental impact, as they release increasing amounts of refrigerant into the atmosphere.

GO Distribution says its Super Seal Total product is a cost-effective alternative to continuous servicing or replacing the entire HVAC system. Super Seal Total consists of the original Super Seal sealant, the Cliplight DRY R water removal technology, and an ultraviolet tracer dye.

The original Super Seal sealant is added to the refrigerant. It reacts with moisture in the atmosphere as it escapes through leaks, forming a permanent low tensile crystalline structure which seals the hole from the inside out.

DRY R chemically removes water from the system to improve drier efficiency, while the tracer dye marks larger leaks, allowing quick detection with standard UV fluorescing lights.
