CITECT has announced an addition to its CitectSCADA product which enhances the value of a SCADA network.
The addition allows operational and management personnel to monitor their factories from any location.
The manufacturer says users can now access plant and security information from their SCADA network via their PDA, thin-client terminal or laptop computer, without compromising valuable plant data security.
The solution works on a web-based client, allowing remote factory and plant technicians to view data saved on their SCADA network via Windows Internet Explorer.
The data accessed remotely is not saved on the mobile PDA or computer but remains on the central server, meaning security won’t be compromised if the device is lost.
