SIEMENS Energy and Automation has released a new line of self-powered overload relays for industrial and construction applications.
According to the company, its ESP200 Overload Relays replace the ESP100 units. They are said to be easy to configure without software or manuals, with a repeat accuracy of 99%.
Field selectable Trip Class 5, 10, 20 or 30 can be set by two DIP-switches and the FLA dial allows for a wide adjustment range (4:1).
The overload relay is suited for oil pumping, agriculture and other applications which require continuous motor operation. It can be DIN rail mounted, and also have removable terminals for fast change out.
The terminals are touch-safe to prevent accidental exposure to live circuits. The ESP200 line also has ground fault protection which trips at 60% of the motor current, protecting equipment from high resistance short circuits or ground faults due to moisture, condensation or insulation damage.
