New facility access and security technology to be integrated

  • Published: 03/09/2008

ASSA ABLOY’S Asia Pacific Division says it has entered into agreements with GE Security and Pacom Systems to implement its facility security and access technology.

The Hi-OTM technology allows interconnectivity between all the devices involved in doorway access. For example, all the lock components around an electronic access door can community with each other or with upper level systems.

According to the company, the CAN-based system is scalable and future-proof. Access, identity control, code reading, and alarms can be connected and controlled by the solution.

GE Security says it will be integrating the technology into its Challenger access control platform, which is widely used in Australian and New Zealand industries.
