AUTOCRIB has released a mobile tool dispensing system which can store and retrieve up to 500 items.
According to the company, the RoboCrib 500 provides high-security issue and return of a variety of items, including common maintenance tools, fasteners, welding supplies, gloves and personal protection equipment supplies.
Both large and delicate items can be dispensed from the same machine. The manufacturer says the unit can be moved to the point of use for better control and convenience.
The company claims the tool dispenser allows for decentralisation and makes maintenance processes leaner.
The unit uses a series of counter-rotating carousels, providing access to items through fifteen doors. A touch screen allows uers to issue or return items from a maximum of 628 bins of various sizes.
