SIEMENS has developed a kit for checking the performance and accuracy of energy meters in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications.
The kit includes a clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter Sitrans FUE1010, transducers, 100Ohm platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTD), and cables.
It is suited for use in water and energy utilities, as well as power plants, and is capable of chiller efficiency analysis and surveys on non-metered installations.
The two-channel flow meter can carry out measurements on one or two pipes. The battery pack charges in one hour to allow four hours of operation.
