GENERAL Monitors has released the IR4000 Infrared Combustible Gas Detection System, which supports up to eight of its IR400 Point IR Gas Detectors.
According to General Monitors, the IR4000M Infrared Combustible Gas Detection System can not only read the status of the connected gas detectors, but can also calibrate, gas check and zero each sensor.
General Monitors claims the ability to control up to eight IR400 gas detectors with a single command reduces the cycle time needed for routine maintenance.
The IR4000M Infrared Combustible Gas Detection System’s monitor incorporates a display, relay module and a data concentrator in an explosion-proof enclosure. It has a magnetic interface so it can be installed and calibrated in hazardous locations.
The IR4000M Infrared Combustible Gas Detection System can be expanded with 8-Amp relays. It can use HART and Modbus protocols to convey device IDs, concentration readings, and time-stamped diagnostic, maintenance, and warning and alarm records to the control room.
General Monitors says the IR4000 System is suited for a range of hazardous industry processes and plant applications, such as LNG/LPG processing and storage, electric power generation plants, oil and gas production platforms or wastewater treatment plants.
General Monitors’ products are distributed in Australia by Aquip Systems.
