FLUID Seals says its DuPont Krytox NRT series of lubricants are suited for use when working with reactive gas equipment.
According to Fluid Seals, oxygen and reactive chemicals like chlorine, fluorine and bromine can react with conventional lubrication technologies that use mineral oils or synthetics.
This reactivity can increase the potential for explosion, fire, lubricant deterioration, and equipment failure.
FLUID Seals says its DuPont Krytox NRT lubricants ensure oxygen service equipment, cryogenic pumps, vacuum pumps, valves and compressors operate smoothly and minimise corrosion of reactive gas components.
The lubricants are compatible with the polymers used in seals, O-rings and valves, are resistant to water washout, non-flammable, and displays no auto ignition at temperatures up to 482ºC in oxygen, or pressures up to 350bar.
DuPont Krytox NRT lubricants contain no VOCs or chlorine. They are said to produce less wastewater contamination than conventional lubricants, due to insolubility in water.
Fluid Seals distributes Krytox NRT Series lubricants in Australia and New Zealand.
