EXIMO has released a nuisance dust control unit based on technology from Donaldson Australasia.
The Unimaster dust control unit is said to be an economical and effective solution for countering dust problems in industrial processes.
Dust-laden contaminated air is sucked through the inlet to the filter by a fan. Heavier particles lose momentum and fall into a collector bin or hopper, while finer dusts are carried up to the filter elements.
The filter retains the dust, and the cleaned air passes through the fabric into the fan chamber and is discharged back to the atmosphere.
When the fan is switched off, the filter fabric is cleaned automatically. A shaker motor causes dust to become dislodged from the filter and fall into a collection bin.
According to the company, the Unimaster is suited for intermittent operations in plant processes. The units are self-contained and can be placed at the points of dust generation. This allows total dust capture and flexibility.
The solution has is said to result in lower operating and energy costs, simplified maintenance and minimisation of safety hazards.
