EMONA Instruments is launching its Metrel InstalTest Comb MI-3125 multi-function installation tester during the 2010 Queensland Mining and Engineering exhibition.
According to Emona Instruments, the tester provides insulation resistance, continuity, RCD test, fault loop impedance, phase rotation, voltage and frequency measurement.
It also offers a socket outlet test, which allows users to quickly and easily test the electrical safety of a socket outlet. The manufacturer says this can save electrical contractors significant time in fault finding and compliance-testing electrical installations.
The test eliminates the need for probing the socket outlet. Users simply plug the mains test lead into the socket outlet and press a button to have the MI-3125 automatically sequence through the required tests.
