FLUKE has released a line of electric pressure calibrators which help calibrate and test pressure devices using one hand only.
Traditionally, process technicians, plant maintenance technicians and instrument technicians use manual pumps to pressurise transmitters and gauges during pressure calibration work. This task requires the use of both hands, one to pump and another to hold the pressure calibrator.
The Fluke 719 Electric Pressure Calibrator has a built-in battery-powered pump controlled by a thumb button. The electric pump can be programmed to set target pressures or limit pressure to eliminate over-pressurisation.
The calibrator performs 5000 pump cycles between rebuilds, and has a cleanout port for easy servicing. It weighs 992g, and operators on two nine-volt alkaline batteries.
