CHAMPION Compressors has launched its PowerSave Options suite of energy-saving systems which can be factory-fitted to any Champion compressor.
According to Champion Compressors, the PowerSave Options systems allow users to customise their air compressor with the energy-saving features best suited to their application. Users can choose to only incorporate the features they want.
Champion PowerSave Options include a selection of air-filtration and heat-recovery systems, as well as various air-end and drive configurations. The cyclonic air-intake filters can be used to minimise input blockages, which are a big cause of inefficiencies.
Most existing Champion compressors can be retrofitted with PowerSave Options, while all the company’s energy-saving systems are easily incorporated into its new off-the-shelf units or its fully engineered customised compressors.
Champion says additional energy efficiencies may be realised by specifying modulating control, a variable output air-end or a variable speed drive. PowerSave Options also includes heat-recovery systems which recover waste heat for re-use by either the compressor itself, or by external processes such as process water heating.
