Seminar on maintaining storage tanks and dangerous goods

THE COLLEGE of Mechanical Engineers is holding a one-day seminar on Storage Tanks and Dangerous Goods.

The 16 October 2008 seminar will cover relevant standards and regulations, tank design, construction, installation, operation, leak detection, maintenance, repair, inspection, coatings and cathodic protection systems.

The event will run the full day from 8.30am to 4.30pm at the NWS Shipping Theatre, WA Maritime Museum, Victoria Quay, Freemantle.

Fourteen speakers will be present, from a range of companies and organisations such as Alcoa, the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection, Caltex and Fuel Tank and Pipe.

Members of Engineers Australia can register for $190, while the cost for non-members is $240.
