SEMF has appointed Dr Garath M. Forde its Sustainability Team Leader for Melbourne, in a push to becoming a major industrial sustainability solutions provider.

Dr Forde was previously director of the Bio Engineering Laboratory at Monash University. He will help industrial companies at all levels analyse their carbon footprint, set achievable carbon reduction targets and inform them of their options for reducing emissions in an economically viable way.

According to Dr Forde, companies should ensure they are ready for the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme, which will price carbon at $25 per tonne. SEMF can provide advice on the various low-emission and energy efficient technologies available.

SEMF provides carbon and energy analysis, green building audits, high-efficiency HVAC modelling, design, installation and maintenance, and engineer co-generation systems, among other services.
