WATER facility inspection company Sanrig says it has acquired a compact remote operated vehicle from Seavision Technologies for inspecting equipment.
Sanrig provides regular inspection of pipes, pump inlets, access ladders and other underwater fittings to ensure trouble free operation in water storage facilities.
According to Sanrig, its new Seavision Technologies ROV can view and record images of accumulation of corrosion, sludge or foreign matter that affects submerged outlets of pumping equipment.
Sanrig claims the AC-ROV is easy to operate, and allows the company to safely identify, plan and implement necessary work. Clients no longer have to isolate pumps or shut down their equipment and work processes for the inspections. Divers are also protected from the hazards of diving into dangerous environments.
