RCR Tomlinson will provide mechanical works and warehouse services to Woodside’s Pluto Liquefied Natural Gas project.
The $60m two-year contract will be carried out by a joint venture between RCR and Debin called RCRFM Services.
The Pluto LNG Project is located in Western Australia. It is set to be Australia’s second biggest resources project.
The workers will start in November 2008, continuing until completion in December 2010.
According to RCR, this contract win has enabled its construction and maintenance unit to expand into the oil and gas sector.
