THE NATIONAL Electrical and Communications Association has honoured Queensland’s electrical contractors at its Queensland Excellence Awards.

NECA says the awards celebrate outstanding electrical and communications contractors, highlighting quality projects and important advances made by the industry in the last 12 months.

There were seven award categories. Stowe Australia won the category for voice/data small project, while the large project category was taken by Fredon Queensland.

Stowe Australia was honoured again in the occupational health and safety category. The company also won the industrial category for its Sunstate New Mill 4, and the commercial large project category.

Rutledge Engineering won best commercial small project for the Bond University Gallery refurbishment on the Gold Coast.
