Mobius sees increase demand for e-learning predictive maintenance courses

MOBIUS says its iLearnVibration and iLearnAlignment computer and web-based training courses has cemented its specialty in predictive maintenance training.

According to Mobius, expensive and often catastrophic mechanical failures occur in a wide range of industrial and process plants because critical components such as bearings wear and fail, often because the machine is incorrectly aligned.

Mobius’ vibration analysis and shaft alignment training courses are delivered by accredited training partners in over 30 countries. The training materials have been converted into all the languages used in industrial regions of Europe, Asia, North and South America.

Mobius training course and e-learning software are used by Boeing, NASA, GE, and the US Army and Navy. In Australia, BHP, Billiton, Rio Tinto and Woodside Petroleum make use of the maintenance training.

Mobius says its iLearnVibration and iLearnAlignment training software explains the measurement and analysis procedures, and enables users to visualize the complex machinery movements that generate the tell-tale vibration changes.

According to Mobius, the international recession and the reluctance of companies to fund travel costs, means demand for its distance learning training has increased.
