John Holland to upgrade RAAF base

JOHN Holland will be upgrading and redeveloping key parts of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Pearce in Western Australia.

According to the company, these maintenance and upgrade projects will help improve the base’s operational capability, improve the environment, and reduce costs.

In addition to constructing new fuel-related facilities and other structures, John Holland will upgrade and replace water, sewer, stormwater, irrigation, power and communications services, refurbish an existing passenger terminal, and demolish redundant facilities.

Most of the projects will be centred on the C-17 infrastructure works, creating aircraft hardstands, widening pavements and upgrading hangars in preparation for the new C-17 aircraft.

The first stage of the redevelopment projects is expected to be complete
