HASTIE Group has won a $25m electrical services and maintenance contract for the Sydney desalination plant.
The building services and refrigeration systems supplier will install instrumentation and fire protection systems at the facility, in an initial contract worth $25m.
The contract was awarded by the Blue Water Joint Venture, which includes John Holland and Veolia Water. The joint venture was contracted by Sydney Water to design, construct, operate and maintain the desalination plant at Kurnell on Botany Bay.
Hastie Group says both its Heyday and Watters Electrical businesses will provide resources to undertake the project.
