INTALYSIS has reported on the Dust and Noise in Mining conference, which ran in Perth from 24 to 25 June 2008.

The company was a sponsor and attendee at the conference, where experts in the area of dust control revealed their key strategies for greater success in mining operations.

Case studies were presented at the event, while participants discussed dust monitoring techniques, explored insights and looked at viewpoints into dust and noise solutions.

According to the company, the conference allowed for plenty of networking between members of the industry who were all looking for dust mitigation solutions.

Intalysis also promoted their CSIRO-developed low frequency microwave (LFM) moisture analyser which examines the moisture content of the material on the conveyor. This information is used to ensure just enough water is added to the process to control dust.
