Cooper-Standard sells industrial lubrication division

COOPER-STANDARD Automotive is selling its garage equipment and industrial lubrication systems division, in a move to downsize their presence in Australia.

The Tecalemit division distributes garage equipment and industrial lubrication systems for the mining industry, including automated lubrication mechanisms, and oil and grease pumps and valves.

According to Cooper-Standard, it is also closing its Adelaide manufacturing operations, laying off all 136 workers employed at that plant.

The company says the moves result from reduced demand for its equipment, as well as shrinking margins.
