Conference on decentralised energy to discuss green approaches

CSIRO’S Centre for Distributed Energy and Power (CenDEP) and the World Alliance for Decentralised Energy (WADE) will host a conference on decentralised energy in November.

Decentralised energy is power generated close to where it is used. The conference will be held on 20 and 21 November at Rydges World Square Hotel, Sydney.

The event will cover topics such as renewable energy generation, policies, distributed energy reliability and flexibility, the Garnaut Review, and intelligent grids.

By generating energy closer to industrial complexes where they are used, it is possible to better control energy use, reduce power infrastructure, and implement cleaner power generation solutions.
