COMPAIR has introduced a service for Australian industries, said to provide cost savings on compressed air by up to 30%.

The company’s Airnergy Analysis is an integrated audit of a facility’s compressed air usage, with a full measurement of energy use, airflow rates and pressures.

The program includes the development of a leak management plan, advice on correcting leaks, maintenance upgrades, and a detailed system report.

According to the providers, this can reduce the overcapitalisation of equipment as a result of upgrading or expansion. It cited the example of the Murray Goulburn Co-operative, which installed a Quantima system at its Leongatha plant on recommendation.

The milk processing facility reduced energy and maintenance costs by $147,000 within five months, and cut carbon emissions by 1900t.

More information on the Quantima systems will be outlined at a range of breakfasts starting which will be held in all states starting 11 November 2008.
