COATES Hire has acquired Victoria-based Monash Hire, expanding its presence and fleet of equipment.
The acquisition includes Monash Hire’s hire fleet, 35 employees and five branches located in Victoria, Queensland and Auckland.
Coates Hire expects the acquisition to provide it with immediate growth in the Victorian market, as it takes over contracts and customers from Monash Hire, and gains access to a larger fleet.
The acquisition also presents Coates Hire with an entry point into the New Zealand hire market.
In 2008, Coates Hire merged with the National Hire Group, which manufactures assembles, sells and supports mobile lighting, power generation and dewatering equipment.
