Chevron extends Clough’s role in Gorgon LNG project

CLOUGH says its Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon (KJVG) has been authorised by Chevron Australia to extend its role in the Gorgon Project.

The extending Work Authorisation represent approximately $300m in extra work to finalise the front end engineering and design for the Gorgon Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project.

The Chevron-operated project on Barrow Island will include three LNG trains producing 5m tonnes per annum of the gas, as well as a 300 terajoule per day domestic gas plant.

The Gorgon Project will develop the Greater Gorgon gas fields which are located between 130km and 200km off the north-west coast of Western Australia. It is a partnership between Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell.
