CHAMPION Compressors has appointed a new business development manager for Gas and Process Compression.

The new role will be filled by Peter Laws, who has 37 years of compressor industry experience, and specialises in compressors for the mining, oil and gas industries.

According to Laws, this new role expands Champion’s compressor market into the gas and process sectors, although the company already provides a number of compressed-air packages to some of Australia’s oil platforms and gas fields.

The manufacturer believes its technology will provide the industry with better reliability and performance in the harsh Australian climate.
