ENGINEERS Australia says United Group Services and the Asset Management Council provided valuable information on asset management at the Victorian Engineering Industry Week.

The Victorian Engineering Industry Week took place in September 2009. According to Engineers Australia, the Asset Management Council informed attendees on how the asset management community is continuing to deliver improved reliability of assets, despite the financial crisis.

United Group Services also presented on the asset management plan that the company has put in place for the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Notably, United Group Services successfully incorporated a worldwide specification of the British Standards Institute PAS 55 specification for the optimised management of physical assets into the hospital.

PAS 55 was integrated into the Women’s Asset Management Plan, regarding the design of the building, the establishment of asset management documentation, including processes and procedures, and the establishment and continuation of an effective maintenance strategy.
